We had a wonderful time together at the FEMTOCHIP Workshop held in Hamburg on the 28-29. September. It was a pleasure to discuss the recent progress on ultrafast amplifiers and mode-locked lasers on a silicon chip and their applications with leading young researchers in integrated photonics. We thank Prof. Franz Kärtner and the DESY institute for hosting the workshop and Milan Sinobad for the excellent organization.
